Can't direct govt to pay migrant workers: SC

The Supreme Court on Tuesday said it would not get into the budgetary or financial domain of the Union government by directing it to pay basic minimum wages to migrant workers during the lockdown period, as demanded in PILs by rights activists. Another PIL also sought state govts to pay minimum wages to rickshaw pullers etc. but the bench said it can't order this.
